In response to the COVID-19 Pandemic, all singers will be required to be vaccinated. Masks are optional.
All three choruses in Richmond Allied Voices accept new singing members at the beginning of each “semester” of their annual seasons. New singers can join through mid-October for the fall and through the end of January for the spring. Members must be able to attend weekly rehearsals. Below are the rehearsal times and links to learn more, including frequently asked questions for each chorus:
Richmond Men’s Chorus

RMC typically encompasses over 40 TTBB members and is currently celebrating over 20 years as a queer-friendly performing ensemble.
RAV Treble Chorus

RAV Treble is an SSAA voice ensemble that exists to create a safe and welcoming space for community, inclusion, and unification within the LGBTQ+ and Allies singing community.
The Noteables
Rehearsing weekly on Thursdays
The Noteables is a mixed-voice community of singers with a concentrated focus on welcoming all members, regardless of gender identity or sexual orientation.
What It Means to Join
Joining Richmond Allied Voices as a singing member includes weekly rehearsals leading to several performances throughout the year. Our season usually runs from early September to early June, and includes two major public performances in addition to other performances for public and private organizations.
Prospective members are encouraged to attend a rehearsal prior to your audition; it will provide a chance to meet some of the members, see how rehearsals are run, and get a feel for singing with the chorus.
Membership Dues
Joining any of the three choruses in Richmond Allied Voices requires payment of yearly membership dues. Our standard dues/fee structure is below. Because of our interrupted seasons during the Covid-19 pandemic, however, we have adopted a pay-as-you-are-able dues agreement. Our fee payment page reflects that and explains it further.
Annual Dues – $125
Advance Dues – $100
(if paid prior to the season starting)
Student Dues – $65
(With College Student ID)
Monthly Dues – $135 (9 x $15)
(offered only as an auto-pay option)
NOTE: Members are to pay dues or make a dues-paying arrangement with their ensemble liaison no later than the 3rd rehearsal of the season.
In addition, existing members that recruit one new dues-paying member will receive a $25 credit toward their own dues. Please coordinate your credit, or set up a monthly dues option with the RAV Treasurer, Richard Bradley, directly at treasurer@alliedrva.org

The Fifth Section
The Fifth Section consists of non-singing members who serve as ushers and ticket sellers, as well as helping with mailings, production work, and merchandise sales. It provides a great way to participate for supporters who don’t sing or can’t work rehearsals into their schedules. Auditions and dues are not required to be a Fifth Section Member.
