The Choruses accept new singing members at the beginning of each half of the season. End of August for the Fall and end of January for the Spring. Singers are selected based on a vocal interview. The interview focuses on ability to sing on pitch and to blend within the assigned section and the chorus as a whole. Members must be able to attend weekly rehearsals. Richmond Men’s Chorus Fall Orientation is Monday,August 26th 7pm in the Virginia Room
Richmond Women’s Chorus Fall Orientation is Tuesday, August 27th 6pm at Ginter Park Presbyterian Church
Vocal Auditions
The Noteables Our Acapella SATB Ensemble will hold auditions for the Season on Tuesday August 13th 6pm with Call Backs on Wednesday August 14th. Location TBA



Our season runs from early September to early June, and includes 2 major public performances/appearances and approximately 10 other performances for public and private organizations.
Effective the 2019-2020 season, dues paid by those who wish to be members of our various choruses – Richmond Women’s Chorus, Richmond Men’s Chorus and the Noteables – will be as follows:
Annual Dues – $125
Advance Dues – $100 (if paid prior the season starting)
Student Dues (Undergrad and Grad with Student ID) – $65
Scholarships available on request
Monthly Dues – $135 (9 x $15 – offered only as an auto-pay option)
[NOTE: Members are to pay dues or make a dues-paying arrangement with their ensemble liaison no later than the 3rd rehearsal of the season.]

In addition, The MCM Board approved a provision of a $25 credit toward dues for any member who enlists a new, dues-paying member. Please coordinate your credit, or to set up a monthly dues option, with the MCM Treasurer Matt Boyd directly – treasurer@monumentcitymusic.org
The Fifth Section consists of non-singing members who serve as ushers and ticket sellers, as well as helping with mailings, production work, and merchandise sales. It provides a great way to participate for women and for men who don’t sing or can’t work rehearsals into their schedules. Auditions and dues are not required to be a Fifth Section Member.
